Fleet Management

Fleet Management is similar to Long Term contracts, except the difference with Fleet Management is that we undertake to go the extra distance and manage your total materials handling requirements. Along with the comprehensive site appraisals & detailed unit analysis, we can achieve the right type of equipment & number of units required to provide your every need.

We manage & provide regular reports on details & KPI’s such as:
  • Utilization of equipment
  • Fleet expenses (per hour)
  • Avoidable damage charges
  • Excess hours
  • Tyre usage / costs


    • The benefits set out in brief for your quick appraisal and are not listed in order of importance, as their significance will vary from Company to Company.

    1./ Fleet Management Plans cover the total costs of the use of a new forklift truck and all future maintenance and repairs over the life of the contract.

    2./ Payments are made from income not yet taxed. However, new or replacement equipment can be acquired and paid for out of cash flow generated from the earnings it helps produce.

    3./ It provides an accurate measurement of the value of the service the equipment. In the same manner as an employee is paid for as he provides value and service.

    4./ Remember ownership by itself contributes nothing to operating profit and only rarely contributes to capital gain. Use-not ownership creates profit.

    5./ Fleet Management although a commitment it is not required to be shown as a liability in a Company’s financial statement offers 100% financing.

    6./ Fleet Management aids corporate budget planning. Plans are tailored to your contract or particular operational requirements.

    7./ In summary most companies that use Fleet Management Plans have done so simply because Fleet Management is in most instances less costly than using your own or borrowed funds. Because of this it preserves working capital, gives greater budgeting control, less management and administration involvement and in the case of Nomad Lift Trucks ensures correct servicing with increased productivity. 8./ Our Fleet Management Plan can be introduced in a number of ways to suit your companies operation and needs. Complete fleet changeover to new equipment with your existing fleet being purchased by us at market value.

    Partial introduction, replacing the oldest or highest utilised equipment leaving the newer or less used units as is, but perhaps with us undertaking the service on a separate charge basis.

    Take-over of your existing fleet and leasing back. This may be considered if a large majority of your equipment is young and in a condition which will enable us to achieve a low cost maintenance programme.
